Borough canon
Craig Sweetman appears wherever the Thacker material needs a witness with a camera. He follows a parallel line through the Frainstone material, is repeatedly identified as a loose cannon, and is often present at scenes whose decisive moment only later becomes a photograph. A later proposal imagines a spin-off, Mr Sweetman, in which a new guise changes both the character and the weekly misdemeanour. His brother Gavin, known as Gav, is separately retained in the borough register.
