A revolver-bearing investigator who appears when the plot requires its facts restated.

Crocker is embedded in the Thacker D.C. world as a watchful investigator, particularly in scenes involving Ainsley and the Frainstone material. He opens the proposed Frainstone variant and, at the end of The Killing, is assigned the task of explaining minor plot details to the audience.
